Our Pets

3/2004

Moboo

We adopted Moboo in September of 1992 from a family giving away kittens.  I had his name picked out long before we got him.  Moboo was named after 2 of my childhood cats: Morris and Bootsie.  Moboo was the love of our lives and an important part of our family.  Our beautiful and precious Moboo died peacefully in my arms on March 27, 2008, at approximately 5:00 p.m. after a year-long battle with oral cancer.  He died in our home surrounded by his very loving family who will miss him dearly.

Moboo, there will never be another cat like you.  We were so blessed to have you in our lives.

“Moboo – the good little kitty…”

Rusty

I found Rusty in the unemployment office parking lot on 11/12/03.  He was sleeping in the small grassy island in the middle of the lot.  It took quite a bit of effort to catch him (he’s shy!) but I eventually corralled him and brought him home.   Rusty is by far the sweetest and most mellow cat we have ever lived with.  He is also one of the laziest!  He LOVES to lie in our bed and sleep, sleep, sleep.  Rusty is also the most loyal sleeping buddy – he will sleep with you all night long, even after getting kicked, squished, and shoved around.  He likes to play fight with Tiger — you’ll sometimes see Rusty tease Tiger (usually, though, it’s the other way around).

Tiger

This is the newest addition to our family, named “Tiger” by Camden.  We adopted him from the local city animal control and he officially came to live with us on June 9, 2008.  The vet listed his date of birth as 4/29/2008.  He is incredibly energetic and can eat non-stop.  His favorite things are annoying Rusty, tearing up things left on the floor, and carrying stuffed animals around the house (he meows while he carries them).  We find stuffed animals everywhere when we come home.  He’s a nutty cat but we sure do love him!
